Presbyterian Endowment Blog

IT'S ALMOST HERE.

Stewardship season is coming.

Imagine getting excited about it.
Imagine getting beyond excited, even thrilled.
Imagine believing that stewardship can change the lives of the giver.

I promise you can feel this. We all just need to exercise our stewardship muscles, because they get a little flabby at the end of summer. So here is great stewardship workout. It's even easy to do. The Story of Your Endowment: The Annual Report

I love a good annual report.

So, what constitutes a "good" one?

Gift Annuities: The Good, the Bad, the Great

The good: they are important giving tools for your members.
The bad: they are incredibly complicated to offer and manage.
The great: the denomination's Foundation(s) will offer and manage them for you.

The good: they are important giving tools for your congregation members.

Slight Increase on Gift Annuity Rates

Charitable gift annuity rates increase on July 1, 2010.

The increase is only slight, and it applies to single annuities up through age 81. To see the new rates recommended by the ACGA (American Council on Gift Annuities), click Single Annuities and Two Life Annuities.

A NEW WAY TO KEEP YOU INFORMED

During a typical week, we communicate with multiple planned giving and endowment volunteers and professionals. Regularly we hear a variety of challenges and solutions that you can use too.

We are always looking for new ways to get you this information. So many of our members recommended that we start a “blog” sharing with you what we see during our week: great ideas, challenges and hopefully solutions that can positively impact all of our churches.
