Endowment Investment Policy
January 1, 2003
Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to set forth principles and guidelines for investing the church’s endowment fund (the “Fund”) in order to achieve the following goals:
Maintain proper balance between the objectives of long term growth and income, with appropriate safety of principal.
Enable the maximum amount of spending that can be maintained, long term, without reduction of inflation-adjusted purchasing power.

Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to set forth the principles and guidelines for spending the church’s endowment fund (the “Fund”) to achieve the following goals:
Safeguard the Fund for future generations.
Enable the maximum amount of spending that can be maintained over the long term.
Ensure that Fund income is as stable and enduring as possible.
Ensure that the stated wishes of donors are honored.
Christian stewardship is an awareness that everything we have is a gift from God. We are absolute owners of nothing; rather, we are stewards of all we receive and we must use such resources responsibly in our life-long work of service in the Kingdom of God. Stewardship heightens an awareness of responsibilities in the matters of material concern no less than in spiritual endeavors.
