Slight Increase on Gift Annuity Rates

Charitable gift annuity rates increase on July 1, 2010.

The increase is only slight, and it applies to single annuities up through age 81. To see the new rates recommended by the ACGA (American Council on Gift Annuities), click Single Annuities and Two Life Annuities.

Will your church follow these rates? Probably so. Most Presbyterian churches do not issue their own gift annuities. This is because gift annuities are quite complex, and there are Presbyterian organizations already in place to do this specialized work. The providers of charitable gift annuities for most Presbyterian congregations are the the Presbyterian Church USA Foundation serving churches throughout the entire United States and the Texas Presbyterian Foundation serving the Synod of the Sun.
